New Acadia Farm Website

The Acadia Community Farm is pleased to announce that we have a new website that is now part of the Acadia University website.

After 10+ years maintaining the original farm blog here on WordPress we thought it was time to refresh our online presence with a new look.  Also, we now spend more time posting on social media these days rather than blogging so decided to focus more on this work.  And finally, we wanted to make the website easier to find for Acadia students, by including it on the main Acadia website.

Much of the old content has been migrated to the new website already and we are in the process of archiving all the content that has been contributed since the farm was established in 2008. Such a lot has happened over the last 12 years from the Tomato Symposium complete with straw bale sofa, to Open Mic Night at the Farm with Just US!, to community planting parties and much more! It’s been so much fun exploring and remembering the farm through the years.

We invite you to visit the new website at Later this year we will redirect visitors to this new website.

A new general information email address has also been created. You can reach us at For the remainder of this year you can still contact Jodie or Katherine using our email addresses.

The Acadia Community Farm began in the spring of 2008 with the vision of providing local, organic produce to the dining hall at Acadia University, while also serving as a community garden. The Farm has grown to become an educational community centre for the exchange of knowledge surrounding gardening, food, and sustainable agriculture. Explore the site to find out more or stop by the Farm for a visit!
